Finance & Royalty Assistant

We are looking for a Finance & Royalty Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong administrative and numeracy skills, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working behind the scenes to support creative careers.

 

The role is remote, with flexibility around working hours and days although you will be expected to work from the London office one day per month. You’ll work closely with our Managing Director and external accountants.

Contract: Part-Time (2 days per week, flexible hours)

Responsible to: Managing Director

Location: Remote (UK based preferred)

Key Responsibilities

​

  • Process and track incoming royalty statements and payments

  • Enter and maintain accurate financial records across multiple projects and clients

  • Prepare and issue royalty breakdowns, invoices, and payment summaries

  • Liaise with clients, accountants, and external partners to ensure timely reporting and payments

  • Reconcile accounts and assist with monthly financial reporting

  • Support with general finance administration, including document filing, VAT coding, and ledger management

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of royalty tracking systems and processes

  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with data protection and financial regulations

 

What We’re Looking For

​

  • Strong numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail

  • Previous experience in a finance, royalties, accounts assistant, or rights-related role is desirable

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial data entry

  • Familiarity with accounting software (such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar)

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive client data

  • Clear communication skills and a helpful, collaborative mindset

  • A proactive approach to learning and problem-solving

  • An interest in theatre or the creative industries is a plus
